I just received a Dr Grabow bent rustic in yesterdays mail. I took it out of the package to check the draw....there was none !! They forgot to drill this one. Quite a surprise. Maybe they are just ahead of their time. In the future when pipes have been outlawed, they can sell 80% complete (ghost) pipes to get around the laws.

Only got a small taste of it from brother Josh (Roadsdiverged) and liked it. Mentioned it to a friend and the rest is history.

Just grabbed this on ebay. Nice! Thanks! I've never had a Nonpareil before and this one looks like a nice entry. Not sure if this one was made when they were still using real horn, but I'll test it when it arrives to find out.👍

I have three. How do you test to determine if it's real horn? Pretty sure two of them are artificial, the other one looks a little different.

Buff the suspect horn with your thumb until it's warm. If it smells like burning hair or roasting meat, you've got the real deal. Another way is to scrub it through your hair. If it develops a static charge, it's plastic.

Just arrived: fuzzy slippers.
I've never owned any kind of house shoes before. But, since it appears I'm going to be working from home a lot on a permanent basis now, a pair might come in handy. These have real soles, so I can take out the garbage or whatever if I need to.

Arrived: Finally found a little Jobey that suits me. An estate pipe. Shape 960, I guess. Anyway, I dig it. Saddle-stem prince, basically: Also, a ridiculous baccy bomb from someone I won't reveal unless he okays it.

So, Charlie is the aforementioned ridiculous baccy bomber. He was going to send me some aged OGS, which was generous enough. He threw in some aged 965 and aged Irish Flake, because he's a sillyperson.
ETA: That's Dunhill 965.

Dunbar is my favorite Eso, if it was readily available, I'd smoke it a whole lot more than I do. I'll only pay retail price for it, so when the chance at 2 bags for $40 each came up, I couldn't pass it up. I like a few others, but not enough to hunt them down. There's also a few others I want to try, but haven't had the chance to... yet. Don't get me wrong, if Stoney or Penzance comes up, I'll nab it up quick. Not to smoke, but good trade fodder
