All good here, too. Been keeping myself occupied. Lots of outdoor time. On topic - smoked Haunted Bookshop, Redburn and Bayou Morning all day long. Bayou Morning in a Medico Crest Pot, the other two in a MM Washington 5th Ave. with a stem that has a lot of character (tooth marks). In fact, all my cobs' stems are quite personalized by my teeth.

Christmas Cheer 2014 in my James Upshall Bark Canadian. Very nice! Thanks! It took me a while to find this one. I prefer small to medium sized pipes and Upshall, much like their predecessor Charatan, tended to make larger sized pipes. Upshall stamped this as a group 4 but it’s actually group 2 in size.

There you are! Where have you been? You had me worried. 😯 Licking my wounds Ron. My leg injury from Afghanistan is acting up on me again and my road to recovery is going at a snails pace. Today’s the first day in almost a month I was able to walk 15 holes (up until today I’ve only been able to walk 9). Maybe next week I’ll get 18 in. Cheers brother.......👍 Glad you are back. I hope that you continue to improve.

June 5th. The weather is getting warmer so I am having an early morning bowl of Reviere (c&d) in the GGG castello lovat. last night I filled that pipe with six pence (glp) and found there is some sort of odd topping on that blend. to me it is that saccrine dr. pepper taste I have noticed in a couple of other blends from cornell and deihl who make that blend for glpease.
I am finding it odd that the big pipe is able to deconstruct flavors as it does, laying a blend bare. the pennigton gap had a nice chocolate flavor in other pipes but in the big Lovat there appeared several flavors constituting what ends up as the chocolate. sweet cedar and several others. point is in other pipes its chocolate and in the castello there were about three main flavors making it. so I am giving six pence another try in another pipe in hopes the topping disappears. I didnt notice the flavor in the pete bulldog so I am hoping that will happen for as it stands I am going to have to throw the rest away. Sounds like a tragedy and it is in a small way. wasting tobacco does not make anyone happy!. I can sit through a bad bowl up to a point but it gets dumped when passing certain thresholds. Think of it as a candy bar, a baby ruth is pretty good, the atkins version of the candy is pretty awful with some sort of strange chemical taste in the nougat. A similar sort of effect with some flavorants. anyhoo, have a great day

Grey Ghost in an old MM straight apple diplomat. This was my first cob, and it's still my favorite one. It is on its second stem, but still going strong. Eight bucks well spent.

happy weekend to all. Earlier, usual 2-miles power walks, no-band 6x42 for company. After the Ed is fed, gifted Boswell North? in Castello "Castello" grade bent dublin & continue with the papers. Later need to go to 4th auto parts store & find one of those circular sponge on one side, non-scratch scrubber on the other. Have bottle of "bug remover" but just the windshield wipers don't remove same. Hell being able to see clearly when sun is right in eyes. Probably some yard work in the mix, Abingdon in lg yard pipe for company
73, clear, headed for 85 eventually
