Was going to watch James Bond, No Time to Die, then realized I'd never seen the one before it, "Spectre". So I watched them both, then decided to watch Craig's earlier 3 movies in order. Picked up on a lot of details tying them all together.
Went to the theater for the first time in a few years to see the new "Top Gun" movie. It was as good or better than the original.

Last night I watched RESISTANCE, about Marcel Marceau’s service in the French underground. Yes, the mime. It is an awful film. The script and plot are riddled with holes big enough to drive a Citroen through. Performances were mediocre, especially the lead’s. As you might be able to tell I didn’t like it very much. IMO it is a complete waste of time. You have been warned.

Tonight I watched THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN.After reading the book, I was so afraid that they would do the funny, smart-arse talking dog thing. They did not. They did a wonderful job with it. I’m,a dog guy so I got something in my eye. Dust no doubt. I recommend it. I am so pleased.

I sat here reading the replies on this thread and tried to think of a movie I’ve watched this year. Couldn’t think of a single one.

Watched the latest Disney JUNGLE BOOK last night. The usual so-cool, wise-cracking anthropomorphism. I knew what I was getting into and was curious. To give the devil his due— the CGI was fantastic. And it was ALL CGI, except for the boy Mowgli. Amazing stuff and worth the watch by itself.
Since BAMBI Disney has a lot to answer for. Single-handedly responsible for the skew in ignorant urbanites take on “nature.” Recent examples abound of Disney-educated idiots “petting” bison, hand-feeding bears, and the beat goes on. JB is just another drop in the bucket of stupid and mawkish.
But watch it for the CGI and the craftsmanship. And then sit amazed as the credits roll. The old saw of “cast of thousands” now applies to the behind-the-scenes folks.

Tonight I am watching Vox Machina on Amazon. Heard a lot of good things about it. If you have any interest in Dungeons and Dragons, you should enjoy this.

Watched The Gray Man on Netflix last night. It's like a combination of Mission Impossible stunt-wise with a huge dose of John Wick shoot-em-up unreality. Netflix is hoping to turn it into their own 007 franchise. The main character is "6". 6/10 for mindless entertainment.

For spy vs spy, CIA, FBI type shows I enjoyed Blacklist.

It was decent enough, but I think I'd give it the same score as you did...maybe a 7.

Watched the “new” DUNE last night. Better than the original I think, certainly the CGI was vastly superior, as it should be. But the whole, vast tapestry still seems muddled and confused— too big for the screen maybe. The cast was very good but I’m starting to think the story is just too much for cinema. This one did not have a real conclusion, but a sense of “more to come.” There was never any mention of it but it screams follow-on, since nothing was resolved. When it comes out, if it does, I can take it or leave it.

The original movie actually was very good at getting the story across in the limited amount of time. The new one is good too, and it's the first of 2 parts. The creativity of the directors is to be admired.

Watched THE FOREIGNER tonight. Pierce Brosnan, Jackie Chan. IRA, Semtex, Brit perfidy, Belfast. Didn’t expect much from a film produced by three Chinese outfits plus an unknown. Pleasantly surprised. Very good. Good script. I recommend it.

Watched War Machine again 4 days ago. Brad Pitt. Apparently, I didn't watch it too good first time, this time I thought it was great.

I had read the books, so when the original movie came out, I understood it. If you hadn't read the books, you were lost. There have been many more books added to the series, mostly by the son, Brian Herbert - and Kevin J. Anderson. I might start reading some of them.

Watched Dune, I think the actors were there for background effect, but that's a winner story every time. Watched Sandman and loved it. I read Sandman as a graphic novel series (comic book, lol) when it first came out. Very creative material. Now watching Rings of Power, had almost given up on it after two episodes, but episode 3 was really good so on I go, and watched latest House of the Dragon episode, and that is building up well. Had also watched the Vox Machina series and thought was some good animation. All in all some pretty darn good fantasy material out there right now.

Watched "Magellan" last night.
OK, let's get past the budget constraints and the sets which look similar to plywood Star Trek parodies. Let us recognize the actors are learning their craft and have not achieved Journeyman status yet. Let us just go with the plot which has enough factual missteps to flunk a High School Science class. Once disbelief is suspended, a fun movie. Especially so at 0200 when I cannot sleep.

A Star is Born (1937). I think it still holds up. Frederic March tries to chew the scenery and Janet Gaynor works really hard to let him do it. You can tell she liked her role more than the short damsel in distress films she started out in.
