Ghostbusters Afterlife
Loved it! The tribute to Harold Ramis is heartbreaking and perfect.

Cry Macho, ClintEastwood, gnarled, old, still my favorite, I liked it, more of a feel good and sad movie but enjoyable.

An English Sc Fi from 1956. "Satellite in the Sky", a space opera. Anyway the first five minutes consists of a Vulcan flying, banking and landing. Such a beautiful airplane. The Brits were so very proud of their achievement back then.

You Better Watch Out (2020) - Well plotted but under directed. You never really start routing for the good guy although the initial twist is carried out well.

So far this year I think I've only watched 2 movies (that I can remember)...
Don't look up & Encanto (with the kids last night).
I enjoyed Don't Look Up. I wasn't sure whether or not it was a comedy until the end, but it was a good film.

A movie I recommend for you, Mr. Zambini, if you have not already seen it, is "No Such Thing". Quirky, humorous, intelligent. I will not reveal plot details. Helen Mirren has a small but key role. The rest of the actors are relatively unknown. Filmed largely in a location you might not have been to.

I just watched the new Matrix movie with my 2 sons(26 and 31). My daughters weren't around for it. Everyone liked the movie and we had a good time.

I saw Don't Look Up, it's probably DiCaprio's best acting but it didn't feel as funny or as smart as other movies by the same director such as Talledaga Nights. Melanie Lynsky was wasted in that role and Meryl Streep looks like she had the most fun in years.

Like I wrote, I didn't realise it WAS a comedy - it certainly wasn't as in-your-face funny, but maybe that wasn't intentional. I found it good because I didn't think it was supposed to be overly funny (maybe a little humorous). If I had known that it was the same director as Talledega Nights, I would have expected more from the comedy side.

Just finished "A tale of Two Guns" Its a western with Tom Berringer and some other notables. the story sounded good, but I was concerned because Danny Trejo was in it. Not that I don't like him, just that he tends to be in more campy type movies. All concerns were unwarranted, as westerns go this was one of the fine ones Ive watched.

I recently watched House of Gucci. I've never thought much about fashion, although my wife and I liked watching Project Runway. I guess this movie is based on a real story, and even though I'm in my mid 70s, I never remembered seeing much about it in the news in the 1990s. Interesting story, great cast, and fantastic acting all around. I was rather impressed by the whole thing, but that's just my opinion.

I'm always disappointed after I do it, but I completed my annual slog through the Oscar Best Picture nominees.
Best to worst:
The Power of the Dog (the only favorite) Drive My Car West Side Story Belfast Don't Look Up Nightmare Alley Licorice Pizza King Richard Dune CODA

A Denzel Washington crime drama and mystery. "The Little Things". Half way through, courtesy of Youtube.
The man does not make a bad movie. This one has twists and turns.

Yep, the tools ,the weapons' and buildings and the items within were all of the period, unlike some of those Hallmark westerns where the buildings are made of pressboard siding.

Alice in Wonderland with Ms. Alice herself. Her brothers are more into it than her.

Just watched CRY MACHO. Not a great film by any means, but warm and enjoyable. Rowdy Yates has come a long way. This one just seemed a little disjointed, slightly unfocused and a bit do-it-as-you-go. But in the end ii’s OK and you won’t regret it at all. Eastwood is always worth watching and in some ways there is more of him in this film than in many of his others. He’s “old” in real life and he’s old here, too. I liked it.
